I founded Chatter out of the ongoing frustration of watching big agency fees spent for below average results: this inefficiency leads to products and brands chock full of wasted potential.
In today’s environment, too many vendors choose short-term tactics over long-term value, undermining their clients’ return on investment. Moreover, few pay any mind to a company’s brand strategy, yet without it there exists little coordination and consistency between disparate marketing initiatives – and thus limited bang for the buck. Chatter exists to change this reality: our singular goal is to help clients craft extraordinary brands and businesses.

Sterling Lanier

As the founding principal of Chatter Inc., Sterling Lanier has worked extensively with a host of the biggest brands in business—from Sony and Schwab to Star Wars and Spider-Man. His areas of expertise include new product and brand development, brand positioning and implementation strategy, consumer motivation audits and customer experience design.
Prior to founding Chatter, Sterling was a senior consultant at Prophet Brand Strategy and Tattoo Marketing where he led global strategy engagements for Fortune 500 firms.
Sterling holds a BA from Duke University and an MBA from the Anderson School at UCLA.
